Visual Design
Alongside Games Design, I have explored other areas of design such as cinematics and lighting. These projects have helped me to become proficient in sequencer, film theory, environmental storytelling, environment creation, and also made me knowledgeable in industry standard Unreal Engine 5 lighting techniques.

The Graveyard
The Graveyard is a 1 minute long cinematic created using Sequencer and rendered with MRQ in Unreal Engine 5. Developed and iterated on over nine weeks, the project was an introduction to utilizing cinematics to create immersive cutscenes in games. The project was a personal dive into the horror genre and research into film theory, sound design, colour theory, and environmental storytelling. Other skills explored were scene composition, storyboarding and environment creation through the use of the landscape tool and Megascan assets.

Lighting Studies
The lighting studies showcased here were a part of a nine week study on how lighting in Unreal Engine 5 can be used to effectively light characters, environments, and props. Many different aspects of lighting theory were explored, along side an introduction into different Unreal Engine 5 lighting systems such as Lumen and GPU Lightmass.
